I am a peacebuilding practitioner, mother of two, and a wife. I love pugs and labradors. I am an immigrant to Kenya and an American living in the diaspora. I am the Executive Director of a new local Kenyan NGO. I have lived and worked in conflict zones the majority of my adult life. I want to be a part of promoting a non-violent world.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Technology/Aquaculture and an Associate of Science in Oceanographic Technology, a Diploma in International Environmental Law from UNITAR. I have trained in Sustainable Tourism Development, Environmental Science, Green Management Strategic Planning, Humpback Whale Research, Fisheries Observing, Hazard Assessments of Marine Contaminants, Biodiversity, Island Waste Management, Shrimp Culture, Fish Diseases and Tropical Marine Phycology. I founded an environmental NGO (non-governmental organization) dedicated to Environmental Education, EARTHCARE.

Over 40 years of experience including 12 with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a disaster-relief, turn-around management and community development specialist, about 3 years as Director of Community and Economic Development for a small City, and additional service as founder/cofounder of non-profits and affiliated "cause-oriented" companies including Benefit Corporations. I have a Masters in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University and am an Economic Development Finance Professional. Received numerous outstanding performance awards
