Wow. My mind was blown by this idea when I glanced through it. I sincerely wish Vykarious existed before my Grandpa passed away. This is truly incredible, Vibhu! A couple of things came to my mind (in random order):
- it would be worth a shot to think about integrating realtime social platforms ie. Periscope into the experience. This way these elderly people would truly feel like they are part of the experience.
- there are more and more technologies and software that focus on connecting elderly users to the internet, often with functionalities that increases their ease of use, such as larger icons, buttons, a physical keyboard, etc. Might worth a shot to discuss the option of Vykarious becoming a default installed app on these devices
- finally there is a guy in Australia, called Sebastian Terry who I think would be an incredible spokesman. He wrote the book '100 things' http://100things.com.au/ which is about his experience realizing what life's worth and concentrating on achieving these goals he set himself. He is an extremely compassionate guy, great public speaker and does an incredible amount of work for charities.
Good luck with your idea, I hope it will be the success it deserves.
