Well.. The idea itself is about sustainable data collection, something that I believe is a need. How do we standardize all of the information that people collect and make it useful for many? Furthermore, how do we make it so that the incredible amount of data that is needed can grow while we sleep? The sustainability component here is inherent in the idea that those who benefit from this data will eventually be the person who gives information and helps train the system to be better.
This vision has not gone into much detail about the implementation. Instead, it has focused purely on the vision of a future where learned information, valuable lessons learned, can be freely shared, based on the fact that you share the lessons you learned.
This is pretty awesome! Yes, we envision a grow solution for the vision of Free.Tree.
The vision of Free.Tree is to develop the software and data product for growing plants and the reason why I resonate with your idea the most is that I believe sprouts would be the best platform in order to begin collecting data with. With such a quick grow time and the all of the nutrients being supplied within the seed, the inputs into a sprout system are simplified and are the perfect candidate for a learning scenario.
To the point, our goal is data and overall information integration (i.e growth optimization, social farming, phone and web app) Your are on the same path as me, automated food growing in the home. If given the opportunity, I think it would be wise to take both our solutions and combine not only the physical hurdle, but also the data hurdle that these visions entail.
