hi Peter, thanks for your feedback and sharing the useful links. Like you said technology is absolutely there. Even if this can be implemented on 50% roofs in slums, that should be enough to give them the energy and increase the grid supply. here is some information on net metering http://www.seia.org/policy/distributed-solar/net-metering

hi Chioma, thanks for your feedback! this idea can apply to many countries listed in the challenge. For the fact, I know that India is building smart meter infrastructure and this can be connected to that. Its a huge challenge to manage electricity theft, slums not having enough power and natural resources such as sun are wasted. I know utilities companies in the US or EU run such programs where you can give the energy back to the grid. Unfortunately, I dont know many people working on such initiative. I have some connects on solar business and I will check with them. But if any team is interested in taking this up, I would be happy to join on that. Thanks.
