Vishagan commented on Enhanced Kangaroo Mother Care

Whilst the embrace warmer effectively maintains the body temperature of infants, KMC also acts as a bonding experience between the mother and child. Bringing these together into one design should help solve the respective issues of each. What are the reasons for the adoption rate being so low? How are the mothers currently caring for their babies in Karnataka? Maybe look into the type of activities/chores the mothers do in Karnataka to come up with a design that can adapt to these when worn. Also perhaps look into how animals care/carry their young for inspiration (as the example Bidur mentioned, the kangaroo pouch). Also, well done on going through to the next stage!

Vishagan commented on Story Stones (updated Jan 15)

The level of detail you have put into this idea (such as the context relevant icons and the specific brush used for the designs) shows the amount of respect you have for the Sylhet, Bangladesh community throughout this process. Could this be taken further through the material choice of the stones or the packaging design? Although it is not as important as the story stones themselves, are the ways you could take advantage of the packaging/box to go beyond storage? Also, great work with the prototype and visuals, simple effective and easy to understand. Looking forward to see how this progresses. Well done!

Vishagan commented on Slum Radio – Educating Parents [Updated 6th Jan 2015]

Great idea, constantly having these announcements made on the radio should get people to realize the importance of these issues opposed to just hearing them once or twice.Have you thought about/looked into the ways you could make announcements easy to remember whilst still being informative? Could there be a way to get these radio announcements mobile/moving around in these communities so it can reach even more people (like public service announcement vehicles)? Also well done on making it to the next stage!
