Great idea Alice! I like the holistic approach to reducing waste through recycling, composting and reusing - as opposed to just thinking about glass, plastic and aluminium, etc. Love the visual too.

Great concept Stephan! The point Jess made about making the items relevant to the user got me thinking... It could be interesting if the game was linked to or started with your shopping list. That way the items would be relevant and you could better measure the impact by awarding points for increasing your recycling quotient and reducing your waste percentage.

Don't want to make it too complicated but I'm passionate about recycling and compositing - and get a buzz when there's hardly any rubbish to go out. So I'm imaging the three groups of recycled and composited going up while the rubbish group goes down.

Great idea! Good luck.

My brothers and I did the same thing, collecting aluminium cans and cashing them in for pocket money when we were young!
