Bringing together people of all ages to discuss and share what it takes to build a sense of community. "Each participant is placed in a “neighborhood” which has 7 to 12 people of various ages led by college students."
Love this contribution! This is also similar to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Santa Clara University and The University of Oregon. As we work in low income areas to encourage and promote a college going culture for youths, it would be great to see of any possible overlaps with life-long learning for older adults.
On another note, my aunt earned her MBA after she turned 50, and I found it so inspiring. I considered the idea of picking up a new degree every decade.
