Mkulima Young has been developed from a demand driven social network by young farmers who are using technology. This has played a critical role in the emergence of Telephone farmers - these are farmers who farm from a distance and visiting the farm occasionally. Youth are trendy and are always adopting to new technologies even in the rural areas.
The youth are also transferring the technology via ICT to their peers and those in the rural areas especially the parents.
Thus the penetration to the rural area has been possible. Furthermore rural areas are changing. The app needs scaling up to other countries having shown tremendous and impact organic growth without funding.

The app has been tested and users given feedback. This places it in a better place for success. It also makes agriculture enjoyable with the founder being a humour columnist in the local dailies.

By scaling up and make it available to iOS and windows will go a long in connecting farmers to market their produce
