Ana, I was so excited to hear about the Zuckerberg's contribution. SF schools is great, too. But to allocate some funds to some less fortunate, urban remote areas, both in the US and other countries would be great, too. Especially, in countries like where Malala is from where they risk their lives to go to school.

Technology takes a stand. People first! Mark Zuckerberg announced a $120 gift to the San Francisco Bay Area Schools!! http://www.forbes.com/sites/kerryadolan/2014/05/30/mark-zuckerberg-announces-new-120-m-gift-to-san-francisco-bay-area-schools/

Shane, my proposal is not for the urban areas to contact large corporations. It is our duty to seek out these corporations through different organizations that I mentioned above and provide these resources. These high tech companies can enable these people to get online, and make it more of a self-service in the future. But for now, we need the framework to make this a reality using the big high tech companies.

Just like the Malala fund reached out to refugees in Syria. These refugees have no voice, no internet, they are starving and homeless. Read more here about Malala's efforts http://www.forbes.com/sites/prernasinha/2014/03/05/forward-thinking-malala-fund-invests-in-education-of-young-syrian-refugees/
