Yes I am aware of your Vision and read it carefully before preparing our one. I considered the upper end marketing opportunities in Nairobi you proposed, and also expanded them to Mombasa as well. The KHYG youth group I work with in Kibwezi produce a lot of fresh vegetables and sell them locally at a rather low price because of difficulties in moving produce to Nairobi. We sometime sell to the Zucchini green grocer chain and must pay Nairobi City Council fees to do so. Sometimes buyers do not return our 24 kg crates and others refuse to pay deposit for them. As for meeting before tomorrow's deadline, that may be difficult as I have just returned from two weeks in West Africa and have returned to a pile of work. One of these matters is of course completing our application.

Nigeria is a tricky place to undertake horizontal technology transfer, but I will not go into this right now. But your vision should perhaps include a stronger element of modern urban agriculture within the Lagos Megacity, ones that will not simply be displaced by its growth. \for example, some of the city's freshwater wetland margins could become dedicated agricultural parks. We recently had some difficulty in identifying partners interested in the technologies of hydroponics, tank fish production, etc. Then we connected to the Africa Projects Development Center (in Abuja) that has both a youth and urban agriculture enterprise unit. It was started by a former Director of the African Development Bank and takes a longer-term view of development. Perhaps you should contact them?
