Hi Shane, it's great to hear from you! I haven't had the opportunity to work with people in the slum areas yet but I had the chance to meet and observe some of these communities in an informal way. Currently I'm working in a company that is supporting social initiatives and has as its mission statement the improvement of Peruvian emerging class quality of life. I'd have to do a bit if research to get to know if there are some projects aligned with my idea. However, I think it could be applied to any city in the world that faces similar problems as Lima.
I love all the ideas presented here but this is my favorite one! That's because it addresses women and children at the same time, and apart from spreading the quality education, is fostering the family relationships. Moreover, this idea is relevant not only to the refugee communities; I think whatever family with pre-school children could benefit from that. Great job, I'm looking forward to see it implemented on a large scale!
