I am social worker by profession and running Bula Puku Literacy Project which is located at Dennilton Limpopo province. I am currently working on registering community development organisation called Tharollo ya Tlhabologo aim to provide acquaintance and support for sustaining the youths livelihood through education skills development and entrepreneurship.
My interest is also on child and youth participation because I belive the community's future of development is on them.
Your organization inspires me to do more for children to give them a better future and I wish you all the best with your idea to go to the next phase. You are doing the great work indeed I hope in future we will work together to ensure children's livelihood are sustained through entrepreneurship from skills learned from vocational colleges and other organizations providing skills development. Let us continue spreading the word of entrepreneurship and skills development as a way of social development and independence.
I am in the process of registering the non-profit organization because from this platform I have seen and learned the importance of having a registered organization in our community. It has also added an inspiration to what I need to do for our youth and people on the move to make sure that we are well developed and have a sustainable livelihood. I believe this will have a great impcat on our people and I have started with my team with the research to gather more information about the idea in hand and to find other assets that can contribute to this from our community to empower our youth. the community is responding well and they are happy to see all the abandoned building repurposed as it will benefit them and their children. working together with non-south African it was said they have never thought of it like that because they did not see the importance of skills development because for one to have a business one, has to have funding but from the meetings, we had with them they believe that it is doable.
Hi Olive, I totally agree with you there Olive, that is the reason why I am working with children from primary school to teach them about literacy and encouraging them to read more and more so that they can be exposed more to what is happening around the world, because most of the children in the rural areas are taken cared of by grandparents who are unable to assist with school works and have brothers and sisters that drooped out of school due to reasons mentioned, poverty and unable to change their living circumstances because of lack of skills. focusing on that age group will definitely make a great change in our communities.
You really inspire me more, just by having this conversation with you, I can see that there is more that can be done and with proper planning and implementation plan we can really change people's lives.
Keep up the good work. Your country with you is really in good hands,I would also appreciate to add you to my team.
