Great point Mary! If the college campuses were gone the cost could be dropped significantly. If one just imagines all of the costs associated with the cost of running a university, the numbers become concerning. If there was no campus and the courses were taught entirely online that would decrease the cost significantly. The only potential issue with this could be courses like chemistry where the students have to experiment with chemicals in lab.

Julia, good job on thinking outside of the box. I would have not thought about that. I think they should donate even  more than 1%. If they really do care about the education and growth of the youth in this country they can definitely donate a bit of their campaign donation. This is a great post!

Skylar, that is a very interesting thought. The cost of books gets very ridiculous at time. There have been times at my university when the class costs $1000 and the book for the class costs $300. There have also been times in community college where the book ends up costing more than the actual class. That is something that simply shouldn't happen. I completely agree with you, books should definitely be provided to the students with the class. They don't necessarily have to be given to the students, they could be lent to them for the semester and then recycled to the students of the following semester.
