Hi Dawn, Apologies for my slow reply. I meant to mention that I was traveling. I was thinking about the following partnerships/collaborations: Partners for Livable Communities www.livable.com. Generations United www.gu.org www.unitedgenerations.ca/pdf/connectinggenerationstoolkit.pdf http://www.activitytherapy.com/intergen.htm
http://innovation.seniorhousingnews.com/senior-living-residents-inspire-next-generation-of-tech-innovators/. National Mentoring Partnership: An advocate for the expansion of mentoring and a resource for mentors and mentoring initiatives nationwide.
International Mentoring Association:Western Michigan University, Lifelong Learning & Education. An organization made up of individuals and groups interested in the theory and practice of effective mentoring. I hope you find these interesting/helpful. I love this concept!
Dear Liz, Thank you for thinking about creative ways to reach the this important age group! Question: What's the process of "translating" the various modes of expression/user inputs into the language of ACP documents? Would the user get offered a range of options that seem to align with the personal way they've expressed their wishes? Would the system "learn" over time that people who say "x" probably desire ACP choice "y"? Have you looked at some of the existing tools like Go Wish, Cake, and My Gift of Grace that help people clarify their own understanding of their wishes?
Dear Jake, Question: Are you in touch with the Funeral Consumers' Alliance (https://www.funerals.org/)? "Funeral Consumers Alliance is the only national consumer organization that monitors the funeral industry, keeping a close eye on industry trends and advocating for fair practices on the behalf of consumers." Thank you for your very thoughtful and pragmatic concept!
