Thank you for your comment. That is a wonderful idea and I absolutely think this is translatable. One of the student groups designed their application to be connected to Google Docs, which was being used as the "content manager" to populate and filter the content in the application. Using that model as an example, the categories of resources and its corresponding information can be updated and changed easily.
Additionally, while prototypes the students made only had a few categories listed, there were many more categories that could be added and that would be useful to also include. The number of categories was reduced because there was a short time period the students had available to work on the project. We discussed expanding into different categories of information that would also be important to share, as well as figuring out a way for the user to customize the information they want shown (or to kind of have a "favorites") that would filter out resources that may not be relevant to them on a regular basis, but they would still be able to be searched for, as well as being able to add new categories and resources.
This is a conversation we'd be interested in continuing.
