We are more than the body dying. Anita Mooriani's experience shows that how those around the person close to death might have an effect.

I greatly appreciated the time of more than one hour the medical staff gave me to sit with my father's body when he'd stopped breathing.

Use the kinetic energy released by workers in regular office activities to generate alternative energy for office appliances and lighting because offices in large urban centres are big consumers of conventional energy.

Khin commented on Death on the ICU

I experienced what you described about ICU when I was with my sister-in-law when her body stopped breathing. This was so different from my experience in meditation with my father's passing. (I wrote about this in another inspiration story ''Tibetan Book of Living and Dying') https://challenges.openideo.com/challenge/end-of-life/research/peace-and-time-for-closure
Still, I appreciate what the medical team were trying to do in ICU to give a living change for my sister-in-law.  If there is a chance to connect again at the Ideas or Implementation phase perhaps we can team up on ideas.  I'd like to collaborate with someone else interested in this sacred moment of passing and living.

Khin commented on Peace and time for closure

Shane, Morgan, and Phyllis, I really appreciate your comments and your views and beliefs in the sacred when consciousness leaves a body. To OpenIDEO's Shane, I'd like to form a team, with anyone else interested in following up (eg Phyllis who is a Buddhist Chaplain), but it looks like we cannot form teams yet at the Inspiration phase.  There are already religious rites performed at death, and additionally I am interested in developing these end of life practise for all (the family, the medical staff, etc) regardless of religion, to acknowledge a sacred moment in the passing of life.

Khin commented on Harvesting Body Energy

Cool. The musical steps remind of the movie Big with Tom Hanks.
