200 are health officers and volunteer community workers from Tabora and Singida regions of Tanzania, and have been participated in the training of Tazania Sign Language and Infants and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) after training they realized that they are responsible for using Tanzania Sign Language to communicate with deaf persons for accessing and providing quality health service. Now they are working in communicating with deaf women.
Deaf women are now attending at clinics before delivery and after delivered, the deaths of children are reduced, the barriers that have hindered deaf women/girls to access quality health service have been reduced.
Thank you for your good idea, have you planned to implement this idea in other country such as Uganda, Tanzania etc?
