"Telling stories that make sense of a changing world"
I'm currently a staff correspondent for PRI’s The World and the BBC World Service, writing and broadcasting at the intersection of culture, business, and international affairs. I've travelled across five continents talking with people in the midst of their lives, gathering insights, and translating my findings into compelling stories.
I was previously a producer with the BBC in London and a Fellow at the International Reporting Project (SAIS/Johns Hopkins). I grew up in the UK and Saudi Arabia. After graduating in philosophy from Oxford, I trained in classical acting at LAMDA. I've performed Shakespeare at the Old Vic and the Tokyo Globe, and appeared in sketch comedy at Edinburgh's Gilded Balloon. In New York, I'm a regular guest at storytelling shows including The Story Collider, Real Characters, and the How I Learned series. My current project, The Jonesonian Institution, is an online and onstage museum housing an archive of invented history.
