Yes, there are a ton of "surf" related items that could be made from ReGrinds; traction pads, sandals, changing mats, but I wouldn't give up on the surfboard idea. Start with a prototype then iterate. Sure, weight might be an issue at first, a prototype does not have to be perfect. You'd be surprised at what works as a wave riding device. "A real surfer" can surf anything from a door to a tree log, my point being: It's okay if the board won't float in the prototype phase. It's all about getting a prototype out there and rethinking from there. Trust the Design process: Research, Ideate, Prototype, repeat. Maybe even start small and gradually build larger craft ie: start with making hand planes, move onto boogies, mini surfboards, then by the time you're thinking about full-size boards you'll have a wealth of craft building knowledge. Shannon South Have you figured out a sufficient adhesive or method to bond the ReGrinds together?
