Hi Itika - Thank you for posing these important questions. Do not worry...even though you do not see anything posted, our team has been hard at work refining our initial grandiose and somewhat naive vision. We will share soon. Meanwhile, we do have a request for you...One of our team members, Karla Cook of Princeton Studies Food https://princetonstudiesfood.princeton.edu/ has formulated an exciting collaborative proposal involving five(!) Rockefeller teams, effectively creating a "super vision" for the food system of the Mid Atlantic region of the United States. Would you be able to assist us by approaching each of the other Rockefeller teams to assess their interest in participating in this "super vision" and arranging a way for us to communicate jointly?
Hi Itika. Thank you for your suggestions and making the connections. I have two questions for you: 1) We understand that in the refinement round it is important for us to collaborate with other Vision submissions. What are the perameters for this collaboration? For e.g., Just commenting on each others' visions, or going as far as working closely with another team and actually incorporating the team into into our final Vision essay? 2) Rockefeller has tasked us with creating a "regenerative" food system for 2050. Are we to take this literally according to the current definition of a regenerative agricultural systems, which does not recognize soiless systems like aquaponics or allow food production systems that do not incorporate livestock? Thanks Ahead for your guidance, Ron Weiss
