Hi Gang- I have been distracted over the last few days by starting a NovoEd class and just caught up. I wonder if there is a way to make SG a feeder into LI. For instance, every time someone volunteers somewhere, or attends an educational/valuable event like a lecture or conference, could it auto fill into a "resume" or other certification system? I have 15 and 19 year old children who are stymied to write their own resume, even when given templates.
This would come back to my original comment that I believe the app should have a way of calibrating actual career oriented behavior with self reported values. Anne-Laure commented on a related topic below.
I agree with Angela that adding the Strengths identification would enhance not only the effectiveness of the product, it would also provide potential employers with additional insights into candidates. For instance, if a potential employer finds the candidate's self-reported Strengths are not accurate, this would give the employer feedback about the level of self-knowledge that the candidate possesses. This EQ type information is difficult to obtain in the tradition "apply online" world, and could be very appealing to potential employers.
