Companies can end up with left-over electronics and components for electronics, imagine if there was a marketplace for them to sell their scrap, trash, and left-over chemicals to other companies that need it.
Our ideas are definitely along the same lines! I like the idea of possibly bundling in recognized testing such as the BAT for industries. That way, those scores could appear as part of a student's virtual resume. This builds on Bendikt's suggestion that it is unnecessary to reinvent the wheel and to look at possible ways to bring together a vast set of resources which already tackle a piece of the puzzle. Thanks for the insights!
I like the idea of providing evidence. That's the driving force behind the concept. For subjective skills (e.g. graphic design, public speaking, etc.), there would a portfolio. As of now, there's no plan to include a verification that someone actually took one of the tests themselves (as opposed to having a friend take it) although I don't know how to verify that as even with a video, they could just be copying a sheet just outside the view of the video. I'd love to hear some ideas!
