I love the simplicity of this idea! I wonder if having the children present is the best way to start to build their confidence. Perhaps there's a tiered model where, in the beginning, students create and simply receive encouragement from teachers. As students get older and more comfortable with the idea that "any idea is a good idea" they could share their projects with each other. I'm just trying to think of a way to avoid putting children in a situation where a classmate might say something detrimental to their confidence (e.g. "that looks nothing like a giraffe..."
Additionally, how could we find out potential implications/roadblocks of this (who approves school curriculum changes, what are the current requirements we're working with, how do they changes from one grade level to the next, etc.)
