This is a neat idea! I agree that Whole Foods seems like a more likely starting point for such a program. What if restaurants had similar events too? I'm thinking of a local restaurant here that has family pizza nights, where kids get to go into the kitchen to roll out the dough and add the toppings to make their own pizza (http://www.rockymountainflatbread.ca/events/familypizzamaking.html). Various restaurants could hold similar events (maybe Whole Foods would donate the ingredients to make it a co-sponsored affair), and kids could learn a variety of simple, healthy, easy recipes.
