Hi Emiley, I can see how this could be very impactful because a lot of young people are being taken advantage of. Along with teaching them how to be innovative thinkers, you can also use this space to educate the participants on the impacts of alcohol, drugs, and technology. Especially in areas where technology is still new and developing; things like that can be an easy way to manipulate kids.
Hi Lauryn, this is certainly a creative solution. I like the idea of creating new resources for those in need of it. Would this solely be about sexual and reproductive education? I had a similar idea of creating organizations to help adolescents through their journey to adulthood and sexual and reproductive health plays a big role in that. But if this is focusing only the sexual aspects, then you might consider also bringing in survivors of sexual assault. It is not a fun topic but having that information and education is important for young adults to learn.
Hi Solomon, this is a good start for a great concept. Incorporating the field of acting and theater to educate on a topic like this is inspiring. But you should keep elaborating and keep moving forward with this idea. What would be your point of success? After people have seen these films, after other rape victims learn that they're not alone or not at fault, what do they do? I think this would do well incorporated into a resource center for female adolescents and young adults. If you can bring them all together with the influence of theater to empower them, you can also have that safe space for them to come together and get the help they need.
