Hi Daniela, I just came back from an event called the Bellagio Initiative (http://www.bellagioinitiative.org/), where participants were talking a lot about the idea of human wellbeing. I think your idea is spot on in terms of thinking about quality of life and aiding young people in having more agency over their own daily lives and homes. Giving young people ownership over concrete aspects of their communities ties together community, place and future in a very concrete way.
On another note, having a strong digital communications program could be really helpful in both promoting use and recruitment but also in documentation efforts and data collection for reporting. Human-centered thinking in the design of the comms program could help make it something that the youth coordinators and members feel really invested in participating in because it will be intrinsically tied to the daily activities of the club -- and very easy to participate in as well. It's hard to underestimate the value of online communications in reinforcing and building momentum for offline activities -- repainting a building can become a community outreach tool like a beautiful poster or Facebook album to promote the club.
It makes me happy to see simple, grounded ideas like this -- as you say, intuitive and easy to replicate!
