Wei Liang commented on Cup d'Etat

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the response. We are still exploring the right business model for the system. Ideally, we want this to be standalone financially viable. Subsidies would be great
but in order to scale and sustain over the long run, we believe in convincing businesses and consumers of the system's value and from this gain revenue.

We are still in the midst of exploring the right business model but that would be the future we are working towards. Appreciate your contribution and understanding.

Hi Rafeed,

We are considering different revenue models and will look to experiment with which works best. We do not envisage prices for a cup of coffee to rise materially due to this system as we believe making sustainability easy and cheap is the ideal way to drive adoption. Having wider scale would then lead to economies of scale and help drive per-unit cost further down.

We are also exploring potential for corporate involvement to help subsidize consumer costs in exchange for publicity or marketing. We are prioritizing cheap, convenience and cleanliness in formulating the business strategy.
