That is amazing that you and your High School students are innovating. I loved the idea of capitalizing on the social media platform that we all use on a daily basis. You mentioned that the only obstacle would be creating the platform to look different than other social media platforms. Something that I foresee as another obstacle is getting the employees to actually use the platform. While we can have employees create the account at orientation, as you mentioned, this may seem like an additional social media account they have to maintain (which many people try to avoid, as they already have many different platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Whatsapp, Instagram, Linkedin, and more). Perhaps if this is integrated into a companies internal platform, it might be more receptive and doesn't require employees to do more work. Overall, great idea and I look forward to seeing the results from the prototype testing!
Hi Vanessa, I really like this idea. I have definitely never see anything like it before and I think it would help employees recognize how collaborative their work is. A lot of universities and companies have a lot of proprietary software, that may or may not be compatible with CYP. While this is a challenge, I think it can be overcome if there is a strong buy in from the University executives or company executives, because the use of the software will trickle-down from top to bottom. Overall, great idea and I look forward to seeing if this works on a smaller scale (prototyping).
