ex Superyacht Broker
"Interested in identifying opportunities, exploring ideas, making connections and joining dots."
I thrive on collaboration and a contributing to a project, discussion or research, seeking understanding and bringing together diverse subjects, viewpoints and big-thinking people.
Engaged by learning, asking why, communicating insight, helping to pull together ideas, concepts and possibilities, giving clarity and direction to move projects forward as part of a team.
Interested in the potential of the internet and the ideas that fuel it.
Worked in the yachting industry as a sales broker guiding clients on buying and selling yachts and putting together new yacht construction projects.
Following a law degree, my experience with yachts started as a crew member in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, subsequently as a sales broker based in London, New York and Monaco working with global clients and advising diverse teams.
After 15 years in the yachting industry, I left to learn more and explore where I can channel my expertise and creativity. Since then I have broadened my knowledge by undertaking different projects in varied fields including business development, venture capital/fundraising, coaching and career guidance, philanthropy and OpenIDEO.
Motivated to grow people, their ideas and businesses, a fan of curiosity, life-long learning, side projects, harnessing creativity, bigger pictures.
Hobbies and interests include boats, surfing, skiing, photography, painting and projects I can sink my teeth into.
I think your suggestion has clear technical and social merit, it encourages small group activity and as it is audio based should enable wider accessibility and inclusivity. I think if the content is downloadable/streamable as an audio podcast then it will be able to travel further.
I saw there is an AARP YouTube channel and the AARP magazine has a circulation of 47 million. Could you utilise those platforms and audiences to get some momentum going for the Rock Up Radio show e.g. by advertising for interested users/participants? http://www.aarp.org/tv-radio/
Not only could that help with prototyping, but it also uses resources and infrastructure that already exist?
One for Al to make introductions and resources available?
