Hi Kate. I will try to elaborate a little bit more... the idea combines a coat-like wearable that includes an umbrella-like exo-skeleton and airbag-like padding to reinforce protection of hips and knees. The coat is splited in right side and left side, crossed in the back and hug to the waist. Each side is a tail side. The sleeves (ample) of the coat are stitched to the matching tail side and help to move them easily to front or to back. Therefore, when the senior wants more support in front simply moves her/his arms to front and activates (voice or actuator) the exo-skeleton inside of the tail to work as a shock-absorber and cane. Similarly when the support is required in the back or other side. In case of falling, the user tends to move her/his hands in the same direction of falling, then an accelerometer shall activate the exo-skeleton and the protective padding. All in this description is contained in the coat
