Hi Ashley,
Thanks for the inquiry and desire to know about Hope For Kids Foundation. Due to the level of abuse i noticed kids going through during my last visit to Liberia. Couple things I have set as my goals within the next two years are: (1) A functioning Education facility in Liberia where Kids especially young girls will have access and exposure to modern educational materials, mentoring, but most importantly treated equally regardless of race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, or economy status in society. (2) As part of my goal, I wish to be able to develop an affordable Technology Institute through Hope For Kids Foundation (HFK), where these young people can gain real life job experience with modern technology in preparation for a future career. As i have listed in our concept document, our Technology Program will encourage young girls to participate and become fully involved in Technology. (3) Healthy Life Style... To achieve our healthy life star or educate our program participants on healthy life style, I'll like to have a sports facility and play ground where kids can becomes kids again, play at will with maximum adults supervision.... Coming up as a kid, in a third world country like Liberia, I never had any of these opportunities available to me until my family migrated to the United States where I was fortunate to obtain an education. Upon my return to Liberia last year may, I felt the need to make such facility available for those kids that have been ignored or possibly forgotten about by society and a very corrupt government... I have had people tell me that the mountain I want to climb is too steep and the valley too deep but one thing I know is, there's nothing too big for the God I serve... I believe I will deliver what's needed for those kids running around the streets of Liberia, becoming drugs addicts, all because they have no where or no one to turn to. Once again, I'll like to sincerely thank you Ashley for inquiring about my hope and dream for the kids of Liberia. Please feel free at anytime to ask any question you have and I'll do my best to provide a response as timely as possible
