My research applies a complexity science approach to designing sustainability assessment models of food and agricultural systems. I have over 15 years of interdisciplinary field and training experience, including the supervision of over 2,000 emerging leaders in sustainable development programs and policy design in Bangladesh.

The southwest coastal farmers of Bangladesh are facing freshwater crisis for maintaining agroecology based agricultural systems due to high-level of salinity in water both in the summer and winter season. Salinity is high in the southwest coastal Bangladesh because of multiple factors: sea level rise, shrimp farming and transboundary water issues. There are also the issues of flooding in the rainy season, storm surges after the cyclone, waterlogging due to bad construction of the coastal embankment and massive shrimp farming.
We found that you have a huge expertise on improving agricultural systems for the smallholders. We believe your experiences will be valuable for us if we can collaborate. We are interested to learn more about your Youth Climate Leaders and Women Climate Leaders.

Just for your kind information, we see the transformation in present agricultural systems as a means of combating climate change (community-based adaptation), improving livelihoods, and minimizing health impacts of climate change and ensuring SDGs among coastal farmers.
