Estela, thank you for the comment and, yes, I do think there is a role to play here in preventing future fractures by better navigating surgery and recovery. Utilization of ERAS-based care drives faster walking/moving post-surgery and, ultimately, faster recovery. Moving/recovering more quickly better positions the patient for fitness and avoidance of mobility issues than does the traditional approach—lay in a bed for weeks with minimal movement, likely under the haze of significant opioid use. We believe strongly happier, healthier patients faster will lead to fewer complications of many types down the road, including fractures.
