Our idea is a program to tackles the lack of children playground, especially in the landfill areas, by creating an open space with standard equipments in one day.

This will challenge people all around the world to create an open space for children

Hi Maurizio,

Good thought. Trees can be brought and planted directly to the soil (soil itself can be planted in this theories). It will work.
Cheers

Hi Maurizio,

Its a great idea for a long term implementation. We can collaborate it inside a bigger project.

Before that, we should think about how to increase the quality of the soil first. For example, in the pictures, the soil condition is really bad, you can find a waste that was buried for years up to 30 cm below the surface. The soil improvement project, should come before implement the garden project.

Hi Sam,

Good idea! However for recycled materials based toys, it will depends on the type of landfills and the quality of the wastes. The landfills in the pictures is a mix landfills, wet and dry, resulting unusable recycled materials.

I like the sandbox idea, it will work, only some concerns to tackle from here:
1. Rainy season. Need to design some covers to put on top of the sandbox.
2. Local mindset. Somehow if we leave an empty space (such as sandbox), they will put stuffs on top of it, make it unusable for children at the end.
