In various contributions on the "define the problem" assignment we are establishing this idea.... the information gap... of parents and future parents, this is not a problem of a country in specific or even something exclusively occurring in rural areas, but you may say it´s more often in families of low income, maybe because of this information gap, and perhaps a quota of "hope gap" ...why is it worthy for my son to go to school... when he could be helping the family working... just an idea.

I concur...this thought has made me realize that in some of our collaborations I think we are stepping fast in to solutions instead of "defining the problem" ... not knowing how to encourage your child development is not only something present in low income families, and it´s a huge barrier (or problem if you may) to consciously approach later, I´ll be following this line of thought closely and trying to collaborate...
