Such a cool idea! Congratulations on being selected as a Top Idea! We'd love to stay in touch to see how your project progresses and would be willing to pilot some of your toy inventions in our Kidogo Early Childhood Centres!
Congratulations team Jhpiego! Great to see your emphasis on Kenya's urban slums where we believe child development is significantly compromised due to safety, lack of infrastructure, and challenges with social issues.
Let us know if there is any help / support you might require from me and the team here at Kidogo (http://www.kidogo.co) as we work with similar communities in Nairobi. Perhaps we could be a collaborator in designing / delivering certain sessions with the young teen mothers groups, or that you could even pilot some of your trainings with our parents who have enrolled children in our programs @Kibera and @Kangemi!
Feel free to reach out if you see opportunities for us to work together, and best of luck in the next steps!
Congratulations on being selected as a TOP IDEA! We @Kidogo are very excited to see how your project plays out and what menus are developed at the end of the day to balance nutrition and affordability for parents in East Africa.
In fact, we'd love to meet up with your team if you are in Nairobi anytime soon... we feed the children who attend our early childhood centres 2 meals per day (plus a snack) and would love to collaborate on our menu planning!
Feel free to reach out and connect! Congratulations again team!
