I am passionate about:
Making India ODF, work in difficult to very difficult areas where there is need for water & sanitation. Fast tracking construction of individual toilets and government school toilets.
A little known fact about me is:
Adaptability to work in difficult areas, that is the reason why I had started my own company to bridge the gap of Construction of Toilets alone as an exclusive proposition and the make a revenue based FSM model to arrest water pollution in future.
Show my name on the attendees list for events I am attending:
Being a person with social thinking and orientation, I started Ashwatham Trust in January 2008, even when I was pursuing my B-Tech in mechanical engineering, to make a social impact about school sanitation. I had a zeal to start a company right after my post graduation, having interest in the area of supply chain and with few years of experience in a company, I could manage to start my own Company called "Udaygeeth Constructions Pvt Ltd" in 2013 exclusively to construct toilets for house holds as well as focus on waste water treatment segment which was absent in the country & even now.
Thanks a lot buddy, we need like minded people like you to create lots of awareness on WASH practices. We need to make more videos in such a way that people realise their mistakes done so far and change. As I had mentioned earlier Indian Railways is the biggest Open Defecator, but it is also a facing lots of problems like plastic disposal mechanism " both inside the train as well as on both the sides of its track". Many WASH related issues emerge in each and every corner of our nation, for example companies dump toxic wastes like arsenic, mercury, etc and many other wastes. This video is about the agitation against Hindustan Unilever Limited company's mistake for mercury contamination at Kodaikanal.
We too can make many such path breaking videos such that people change and we can live a peaceful clean environment. Thanks Mr.Ravivaram. Lets work and clean the mess... :-)
People in India have started to face the scorching sun already, the heat wave is sky-rocketing. Next we will face drought. These are some of the latest news prevailing in southern regions of India. Rivers dry, water vanishes, people fight for water for their survival, our wild animals...? The only way is to pray for a good rainfall without any creation of natural calamity due to heavy rainfall.
If we get good rainfall, we can hope for a good chance to have sufficient water both for drinking as well as for construction of toilets. Water is again needed to build toilets. Some of the examples for the demand for toilets in urban slums are below
Now I would like to conclude by saying that "Water is the Elixir of Life", for living beings. We humans should never be selfish to utilise the entire water for ouselves, but try to share with all living beings. With the available water and with my Idea we will have a challenge to build toilets across the nation with unity and collaboration with like-minded persons/NGOs/MFIs/Banks/Institutions etc.
We should be in a position to build strong toilets in such an manner where we can minimise water consumption as well as build them in a lean manner, i.e by Market Aggregation Methodology.
Dear Sean, My idea to build toilets in lean model, will need handy support from like-minded people like you. By combining the training /certifications/accreditation we can have a skilled plumber team-building set-up and for other similar segment of people like masonary etc. As mentioned by you, we can easily develop local workmanship and make them employment-ready. Our company too can use them as and when required, also they will be in demand as the certification part will make a huge impact in building their career.
Children too will eventually learn these skills when we teach them in the appropriate manner at the appropriate age group.
