I think your idea is great. Older people have more risk than anyone to fall and the solution as you explain is facilitating their live in their home using resources as Floor mats for fall prevention. In my opinion, the risk could still being water or any other liquid that could make it slippery. Have you think about any solution if the floor mats get wet? There are anti slippery shoes that they can use in order to avoid any other fall risk. The floor mats could be combined with courses in which they learn how to fall in the best position to prevent fractures.
