"Be a Design Pirate :)"
I'm a curious explorer with desire to shape the ways we use technology. I combine my understanding of technology with my sense of design to create a meaning in my work. A meaning that binds a design's function and aesthetics to tell compelling stories. This means both applying practical experiences and theory to make responsible judgement.
Often I get vague problems, so I start by collecting information to create a design story and establish my constraints. Then I let the details guide the design. Failing often in this iterative process leads to discovery of insights and interesting questions. That is what excites me the most. I enjoy taking new challenges and solving complex, wicked problems to see what I can come up with, and how it affect people.
I'm adapt, agile, process oriented and a creative problem solver. To let my designs engage audience I often sketch systemic profiles, carefully craft information, prototype and let details guide the process to produce pixel perfect deliverable. My design portfolio http://muditmittal.me showcases some of my interesting work samples.
I think this is a great idea! I think modifying the current recycle logo by adding quantified product LCA information makes a very compelling argument to those who forget to recycle often. Knowledge is power, this way I know what is the effect of my choice of recycling. If such a system comes into existence, I think a lot more people will take extra efforts to recycle.
The idea of MegaJoules as a unit is very interesting as well. Like people notice Calories for the food they intake, they may start talking of the MegaJoules they saved from trashing this week.
