Great idea that fills a number of needs at once. I was curious about your estimates of South Sudanese vs. Ugandan users and jobs. It seems like they are both based on the 70% South Sudanese, 30% Ugandan population in Bidi Bidi. Are these numbers going to be enforced in some way during implementation, or are they just to provide a rough estimate of the impact on each community? Does it make sense to assume that use of the stoves, solar lighting, and employment will all break down proportionally according to population?
I love the idea! The Salinas area definitely gets overshadowed and marginalized, both in the arts and in society at large, by other parts of northern and central California. As someone in the Bay Area, it's nice to see you working to catalyze and centralize artistic activity in a less well-off part of the state, and it seems exciting that you have so many local partners whose work you can showcase.
Do you have a particular space in mind for the Hub? What kinds of characteristics are you looking for in that space—do you plan on using your partners' stages, art rooms, etc. or will those be in your new location?
