More details on how the social network would function: - Users would be able to search for and join events / initiatives and filter by location, time and areas of interest - Users could also create and manage their own events / initiatives, setting the requirements for people/teams, resources and tasks and having interested users sign up for those items - Users could engage with and share inspiring stories with others who share similar passions through groups, events / initiatives message boards - Once events are done, the event organizer(s) could input the impact metrics and if an organization is involved / tagged, they could add it to their impact dashboard and share with their stakeholders as they see fit as part of their CSR initiatives - Not implemented yet, but when a user first registers, they would take a short onboarding quiz (think what Quora does) to assess what they're interested in and what they would like to get out of their participation on the platform. This would help us recommend events / discussions tailored for that user. This "quiz" could be customized for each company, or there would be a standard one for a public user. - Not implemented yet, but the user's profile page would include all events participated in, with the role / resources contributed and impact caused. Other users could validate those contributions and help the user stand out (think LinkedIn profile, but tailored to actual impact).
To be clear, we have one client which has been using the system for a few months now with a few hundred users and are generating 10-15 events per month - and trending upward! We have rolled out mobile applications on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for this client as well!
