Great idea Angi addressing stress and trauma awareness. These factors have a way of taking over ones' life and affecting the way we see things and our ability to move forward. My partner has ubmitted a proposal on social transformation - dealing with issues mainly within pastoralist communities - which range from environmental degradation, social injustices, loss of ways of life and the changing future especially among the yout h from theese communities. I have submitted an idea dealing with promoting environmental education using technology and eco - communities. My mum has a strong background in counselling and life skills and dealing with people who have been in situations of trauma: it would be great to see if we can all collaborate in some way if possible - even if you need volunteers to assist with facilitation and training. Hi Yvonne, great idea! I was drawn to your submission as I am also trying to tackle environmental education in a fun interactive way to bridge the current disonnect we have with youth and conservation. My approach is based more on using technology and establishing eco- communities. Storytelling is a great avenue to pursue. Would be happy to collaborate or help out in any way possible. I have worked in early childhood education and would be happy to contribute to your sessions where possible. I have also been working on a couple of books based on wildlife conservation for kids - publishing is always an issue though... All the best.
