Hi Shawn, You are speaking our language on reducing power grid reliance. The SEVO SunStationÔäó is an off-grid solar canopy = 100% green power and doesn't rely on the grid so avoids all power-grid upgrade costs. Thanks again for your supportive comments!
Shawn - appreciate the comment. Yes, hydrogen will be a clean energy resource for the transportation sector especially for heavy duty trucks and other construction vehicles. However, the cost of installing hydrogen stations is $2 million whereas the electric vehicle charging station costs $2,000-$25,000. Therefore, hydrogen currently isn't economical at all for personal cars, and electric vehicles aren't out-dated but necessary technology to help push forward other clean technologies. The future of clean transportation is a mix - not one or the other - its about being inclusive to solve our climate goals.
Thanks Barbara F for the suggestion! I think there is synergy among Acterra, Clean Coalition, and other orgs to collaborate and achieve our common goals for EV adoption while minimizing if not entirely eliminating fossil fuel dependence in our transportation sector.
