Hey, Alexis! Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about First Teacher and offer this helpful feedback. You are right that we need to partner with other orgs/institutions to connect with parents/caregivers with younger children. In Boston, there are K0 schools where the kids are three years old and many of them have youngest siblings, so that is why we are connecting with elementary schools. We also work with families living in scattered site shelters and run programming right out of our office for any families with 0-5 year olds. Up until now, our growing has been based on on relationships -- what parent do we know at what school, etc -- and you're right, church communities would be a great place to reach out to! Thank you!
Hey, Peggy! We do not do extended parent training; we more create spaces where parents and caregivers teacher and learn with each other. Your home party program sounds really interested. There are a lot of really powerful, amazing parents in the First Teacher movement who would probably love to hear about it. Is Words to Grow On on this platform? I will go look! Thanks, D
