Subah Ahmed I agreed that handwritten note cards are harder to tracker if you want management to know about them. Email makes that process a lot easier.
At my work, for the appreciation challenge, we received an email to use existing tools to send thank-you notes. The top 10 senders received points to spend. The next 190 people also received points (half as many as the 10 top). I am assuming the existing tools (there were 2 that were could choose from to use) made tracking them easy. Also, one of the tools made it so that the same note could be sent to more than one person at the same time. There was also an option to copy the person's manager on the note (which was sent by the tool via email). Lauren Ito Susan Truong Management would need to make the thank-you note writing part of the company culture. many people have never written a note and may need writing a note to be an official goal.
