I am a UT McCombs student studying open innovation within the business and IT space. I like to hike to be grounded to the earth, I like to educate youth to help create the future, and I like to leverage technology to solve complex problems.
Your story's title is very bold that I am sure would cause a riot to a conservative population. To help avoid these types of reactions however, I like the thought of approaching sex ed as way to "building the essential foundations for sexual health: love, respect and self-awareness" as you mentioned. This seems like a good idea to help remove the stigma or perceived negative connotation to very early sex education and provide a fresh view to the situation.
I did not think about how multicultural environments play a factor in giving or receiving gratitude but you make an important point. We are in the digital global work environments so we must try have a common expression of gratitude. A human smile could be the world wide expression of gratitude, and if it is then we are in luck because video chat is more than abundant.
Thank you for sharing this very personal story. You have great self discipline to continue working at that job for 3 years. There are some people who don't get out of that type of situation which causes very harsh and sad events to transpire. Your experience shows how a closed environment will shut down any innovation and take out all human added value to a company.
