I was wondering if just saying "Thank you" is enough. We have almost become desensitized to the word as a society since we usually expect gratitude for whatever we do. Do you think that there is another way to say or show gratitude and also convey out deepest appreciation? In my case, I show my thanks by giving my employees a bonus out of nowhere to reward them for their hard work.
I really like you contribution and the perspective that you took of gratitude in the workplace but not necessarily having to be "in" the workplace. Have your gratuitous acts yielded good results? What are you thoughts on other ways that gratitude can be used in the workplace? A personal example is that my company hands out random bonuses to all employees just to reward them for their hard work. Do you think that formal acts of gratitude like mine or more informal acts of gratitude such as what you and your fellow co-workers are doing are more effective.
