We intend to mould small bowls which will contain the condiments. I have attached two images of a 7x7cm Areca leaf bowl. Of course, this is not the final shape but hopefully, it gives you a better idea how it could look. Such a bowl will then be laminated with the TIPA film. As for the attachment, we have a few ideas but haven't created a working prototype yet. We plan to be working with Leef (German producer of Areca leaf plates and bowls), TIPA and some chemists to optimise the shape, materials and attachment feature. So far, we have published our concept which is a result of our research and some very basic, high-level prototypes. The next step is to get more support to iterate through the build - measure - learn cycle with more detailed prototypes and real users. I hope I could make it clearer. Please, let me know if you have any further questions.
Good question, Christel. Probably best to ask TIPA directly. We still need to continue our research to fully understand all material requirements for food packaging. However, I know some shops use it to cover take away salad bowls, for example. So it might be possible. In case you're interested, I have attached their entire product portfolio above.
