I am passionate about:
social justice and equity; health access, affordability and related issues; civil society and democracy; environmental issues; playing and listening to music; being outdoors and physically active; and many other things!
A little known fact about me is:
I did not major in music in college, but did give a concert in my senior year and performed Chopin Concerto #1 in E minor.

The Philanthropic Initiative
"Out of clutter, find simplicity." - Albert Einstein"
I was very fortunate to join with Peter Karoff in 1989 and help to start up The Philanthropic Initiative (TPI), with the mission of helping funders to increase the impact of their philanthropy. For 28 years, we have helped all types of funders throughout the US and globally to target their philanthropic resources in more strategic ways. Prior to the start-up of TPI, I worked on health policy and public health issues in Massachusetts state government, after obtaining a Masters in Health Policy in Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
