In just about 3 years of its existence so far, THISAbility Ethiopia provided part-time employment opportunities to well over 15 young, emerging professionals in various fields of expertise (e.g. sociology, law, architecture, accounting, etc).

Initiator, Dagnachew ('Dag') Wakene, has been working for over 10 years as an advocate, educator, and research consultant with a focus on disability rights and inclusive development. He holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, and a Master's of Philosophy majoring in Rehabilitation and Development Studies from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Co-Initiator, Leulseged Tibebu, is an award-winning and accomplished young Architect engaged in a number of professional and voluntary activities via providing consultation for publications, research and tutoring.
